Cicchinelli Proclaims Observance of
Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day!

Tiffany Foxx, President of GTA Support Group & Mayor Cicchinelli
Francis H. Cicchinelli, Jr., Mayor of the city of Massillon, Ohio, has signed a
proclamation stating the city of Massillon will set aside October 15th of each
year in observance of Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day. He
further proclaims that the month of October 2005 be recognized as Pregnancy and
Infant Loss Awareness Month for the city of Massillon. Mayor Cicchinelli
urges the citizens of Massillon and surrounding areas to recognize this special
day by participation in programs, ceremonies, and activities.
Parents and families nationwide are rallying together to have October 15th,
recognized nationally as Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day. This
movement was spear headed by Robyn E. Bear, a mother who has suffered from
multiple miscarriages.
Robyn has also put together
a book of True Stories of families who suffer miscarriage, still birth, loss of
a infant, or infertility.

book by accessing the following link

The purpose and mission of this day is
to diligently work with local, state and national leaders to obtain a National
Day of Remembrance. Recognizing the need for community education and
awareness when a family loses a child to miscarriage, stillbirth, and/or
neonatal death, while promoting the need for openness, understanding and
compassion during a family's time of grief and most importantly, allowing those
who wish, to remember these children who we now hold dear.
God's Tiny Angels Support Group is
working diligently to help reach the goal, initiated by Robyn Bear, to obtain a
National Day of Remembrance. Each year GTA Support Group will host a Walk
for the Angels Walk-A-Thon in remembrance of all of our precious angels.
Families from all over the area will gather together to support one another and
to honor the lives of God's tiny angels.
